What does a day as General Manager look like?
As General Manager, you are the driving force behind the hotel’s success. You take full ownership of daily operations and long-term strategy, combining a hands-on leadership style with a strong commercial focus. You are responsible for driving profitability by monitoring revenue, budgets, and implementing effective sales & yield strategies in cooperation with our sales and revenue department. You inspire and coach your team to ensure guest satisfaction, employee engagement and compliance with all group policies and standards.
You maintain strong relationships with suppliers and local authorities to guarantee smooth operations, quality service, and compliance with safety and hygiene regulations.
Your hands-on leadership style means you are visible and involved, throughout the hotel from reception to F&B and supporting the team during peak moments. Above all, you set the tone for excellent service and a positive team culture.
What makes you the addition to our team?
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience in the hospitality industry (as supervisor/manager), including experience in room management and F&B.
- A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach to daily hotel operations.
- Strong leadership, coaching and interpersonal skills to engage, inspire and develop your team.
- Proven ability to represent the hotel with external stakeholders and partners.
- Solid background in finance, revenue management, HR, accounting and sales.
- Understanding of yield management and familiarity with dynamic pricing.
- A sales-driven mindset with the ability to further develop both the local community and the business market.
- Drive and ambition to achieve the highest possible results in quality, service and profit.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures and local compliance requirements.
- Commitment to ensuring consistently exceptional guest service across all areas of the hotel in line with brand standards.
- Fluent in Dutch (mandatory) with strong communication skills in English
- Available for full-time employment (38 hours per week).
